UV Protection film

UV Protection does exactly what it says on the tin. It's a thin film with a slight tint which is applied directly to your glass panel. Its job is to protect you from the sun during the day by blocking 99% of the UV light produced by the sun. You spend a large portion of your day in the office & unknowing to you the sun is blasting down harmful amounts of ultraviolet light at you.


You wouldn't sit on a sun bed for 8 hours a day, so why take the same risk with your desk!

Goodbye UV rays

The UV protection film we stock from Opalux is proven to block up to 99% of the UV rays produced by the sun. We can also supply a specialist UV control film for even further protection in venues such as museums.

Daytime mirror bonus

UV Protection film comes with a weird added bonus. During the daytime it acts as a one way mirror allowing you to clearly see out while making seeing in very difficult for people outside**.

Carbon Reduction

Opalux helps reduce the cost of heating your workspace during the winter by absorbing the heat, therefore businesses can use Opalux products to help comply with carbon reduction schemes.

No ladders needed

It doesn't matter if your windows are on the ground floor or up the top of the shard. Our UV Protection is applied to the inside of the glass making our fitting process much less intrusive to you operations.

**Please note that as the light balance changes as the day gets darker and the light inside becomes brighter the one way mirror effect will fade. This product is not sold as a mirror film.

Any shape or size

Within reason there isn't many types of glass we can't cover with our UV Protection films. Round, square or triangle theres a way to do it.
